Feliz Año Nuevo

Happy New Year, direct from the Jardin in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, my winter “home away from home” where my brother Don and I have been coming since 2007. New Years Eve in the Jardin (town square) has become a family tradition of sorts. But this year, I am particularly relieved to usher 2016 out the door.

As I look with great trepidation toward what the future holds for 2017, I turn to one of my favorite quotes from Ralph Waldo Emerson; “What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”

May all your New Years resolutions be worthy manifestations…

  1. Sure does look like a fabulous place to spend New Year’s Even. Wishing you a wonderful year ahead, Suzanne, and I’ll look forward to following along on your adventures.

  2. It truly is an amazing experience to be in the Jardin of San Miguel de Allende on New Year’s Eve! We were there a few years ago, and I took a short video of the fireworks with my phone, complete with our hysterical laughter of disbelief, and the singing of the crowd:

    Unforgettable.

Feliz Ano Nuevo! On to the next adventure…

Wishing you a joyful and healthy 2017. May all our fears for the future come to naught (though I won’t be holding my breath on this one). 😉 Breath deep, have patience, and spend as much time in mother nature as possible!

  4. Happy New Year!!! And what a perfect place to be, in the past, Now, and in the future. An interesting combination on the corn. Mexico taught me to put chili powder on my fruit.

  5. Looks like a wonderful, festive place to bring in the New Year! Wishing you all the best in this coming year—and yes, we must focus on what lies within us. It’s really the only thing we can control. Here’s to being in the present moment!
