This is the beauitful Santo Tomas church at the center of the Chichicastenango market. There are no pews inside, just hundreds of candles in makeshift shrines on the floor.

We start the "long and winding road" down from Chichicastenango with many switchbacks down the very steep mountain.

No "runaway truck lanes" on this road! Glad we stayed at the market a little longer than planned!
