Another 20 min hike down the beach brings you to Cabo San Juan de la Guia, a beautiful cape with nice beach for swimming, but their "tent city" was more crowded than Arrecifes.

Santa Marta also has a good bit of colonial architecture, much of it under restoration. This building lines the Cathedral square. The crowd outside was watching a game of bowling, using stacked plastic cups and a soccer ball.
