Up to this point, all landings have been on islands, so this is our first "official" landing on the continent itself.
Celebrating having tagged my seventh continent! WOO HOO!!

The white board in the Observation Lounge marks our southernmost destination, Cape Saenz, a first for the Polar Star.
Once back on board, we pop the cork on a bottle of bubbly to celebrate our polar circle crossing and continental landing.

This was our very comfortable cabin. I was originally confirmed in a triple with bunk beds, so this upgrade was heavenly!

Fur Seal encounter near Mutton Cove. Fur seals (actually part of the Sea Lion family) can walk on all four's like a dog.
The Fish Islands were a fantasy land of icebergs....here are just a few of my favorites.
The white ice underneath the surface really gives the water a "Caribbean blue" hue.
The zodiac drivers would sometimes turn off the engines so we could appreciate the quiet enchantment of these iceberg fields.
