From Tiberias, I took the bus to Haifa, on Israel's northeast coast. Beautiful city! This unique, modern building was about two blocks from my hotel, so it served as a helpful landmark.

I loved riding on Israel's only subway, the Carmelit, which goes from the port to the top of Mt Carmel in Haifa. It was more like an underground funicular, as it went straight up.
